Along the coast of Japan off Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu Islands and along the coast  of Korea, Vietnam, China north to Yellow Sea (Starobogatov, 1972). The crab was found in  the esthuary of the Srednyaya River in Sakhalin Island [Labai, 2004, p. 72]. Japan, “the  northern limit of its distribution is Mutsu Bay or Jusan-gata, Aomori Prefecture.” [Sakai,  1976, p. 619].
