Range. Off Japan, Yellow Sea (eastern coast of Korea), Peter the Great Gulf (Posyet Bay).
[Vassilenko, 1990, p. 93]. From Peter the Great Gulf (Sea of Japan) and Tokyo Bay to
Shāndōng Peninsula and southward along the coast. [Vinogradov, 1950, p. 241]. From Yellow
Sea to Peter the Great Gulf, along south-east coasts of islands of Japan to Tokyo Bay in the
north. [Zhirmunskiy, 1976, p. 55].
Commensal of polychaete. At a depth of 2 to 8 m; muddy, muddy-sandy bottoms. [Vassilenko,
1990, p. 94]. Inhabits soft bottoms from littoral to 30 m. [Zhirmunskiy, 1976, p. 55]. Found on
the mud flat. Commensal of Chaetopterus variopedatus, Mesohaetopterus japonicus and
Balanoglossus misakiensis. [Sakai, 1976, p. 589].
Size of carapace. Up to 12 x 22 mm (length x width), males; up to 12 x 21,5 mm (length x
width), females. [Vassilenko, 1990, p. 93]. 7 x 15 mm. [Zhirmunskiy, 1976, p. 55]. 11 x 20,3
mm, male. [Sakai, 1976, p. 589].
