Telmessus acutidens (Stimpson, 1848) Far East / North Pacific
Range. Off Moneron Island (Sea of Japan near Sakhalin), along Sea of Japan coast of
Hokkaido, South Korea (Chinkai Bay) and from Hakodate to Tokyo; from coastline to 45
m. [Vinogradov, 1950, p. 239]. “On the Pacific side of Japan, this species ranges from
Muroran, Hokkaido southward to Tokyo Bay; on the continental side, it ranges from the
west coast of Hokkaido and south of Sakhalin southward to Korea Channel”. [Sakai, 1976,
p. 315].
Size. 83 x 105 mm, male. [Sakai, 1976, p. 315].
