In the ex-USSR the first record was near Poti  (1975) at hydrofront of Rioni river (Shaverdashvili & Ninua, 1975). There are records from  the Kerch Strait (Zaytsev, 1978) and Utrish Cape at a depth of 20 m and salinity10 and 20  prom (Monin, 1984). [Makarov, 2004, p. 382].  Size of carapace. 65 x 140 mm (male).
