Range. From Peter the Great Gulf (Sea of Japan) to Hong Kong and from Japan to Hawaii.
[Vinogradov, 1950, p. 238]. Japan, Korea, China, Formosa. The record from Hawaii by
Rathbun, 1906 seems to be an error - Edmondson. [Sakai, 1976, p. 355]. Type locality: Japan.
